Christopher Saunders OBE - Chartered FCSI
Partner

Christopher Saunders established the firm of Tutton and Saunders and built up the business into Savoy Asset Management, a quoted asset management company under the chairmanship of Right Honourable Kenneth Clarke, QC MP, former Chancellor of the Exchequer, managing £1.2 billion of funds and employing around 80 people. Following the takeover of Savoy Asset Management Christopher resigned from Savoy, of which he was Chief Executive Officer and Director. After a short period as a consultant to a European asset management company he returned to the asset management arena by establishing the new partnership of S & T Asset Management. Christopher has had a long and varied experience of investment matters and for many years was co-manager of the Hauteville Global and Balanced Fund which had an excellent long term record.




David Kennard Chartered MCSI

After 18 years as an Officer in the Irish Guards, David joined Christopher Saunders in business in 1986 and helped to establish the firm of Tutton & Saunders Limited in 1990 which later became Savoy Investment Management Limited. He was a main Board Director of its parent company Savoy Asset Management Plc, an asset management company managing £1.2 billion of funds, until its takeover by Syndicate Asset Management in 2006. Following this David remained a Director of Savoy Investment Management Limited, one of the main subsidiaries of Syndicate Asset Management Plc. He resigned from Savoy Investment Management in 2009 and joined S&T Asset Management LLP as a Partner in April 2010. David has over 20 years’ experience as a Private Client Fund Manager.

Simon Chatterton - Chartered FCSI

Simon started his career with Allied Provincial Securities as office junior in 1990, before moving to Pilling & Co to become a Settlements Clerk. In 1995 he passed the Registered Representative examination and in 1997, joined the firm Tutton & Saunders Limited, which later became Savoy Investment Management, to focus on Private Client Investment Advice and Management. He achieved the Securities Institute Diploma in 2000, before joining S&T in December 2009. Simon specialises in advising and managing investments on an international basis for a wide range of clients. He is a strong believer in developing and enhancing the industry and has been a member of the Manchester and District Committee of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) for some years, having served as President from July 2010 to July 2012.

James McLellan – Chartered FCSI
Partner

James McLellan has worked in stockbroking since 1994, when he began training with James Brearley & Sons in Stockport. He qualified for membership of the Securities Institute in 2000, by which time he headed the Business Development Strategy in Stockport, whilst managing his own client base of Private Clients. Having expanded his market knowledge for a short period in London, James moved back to his roots in Marple at Savoy Investment Management in 2006. There he met his current partners, Christopher, Simon and David, working in a team managing substantial assets across a large client base. A keen golfer, James has proudly won the Manchester Stock Exchange Henriques Trophy on two occasions.

Luke Bagshaw - Chartered FCSI

Luke’s ambition to pursue a career in stockbroking was confirmed by a work experience placement with the firm of Tutton & Saunders. He started his career in 1995 with Fairmount Stockbrokers and subsequently Henry Cooke Lumsden in 1999 which became Brown Shipley, as a Senior Investment Manager managing portfolios for private clients, trusts and pension funds.

Having gained the Securities Institute Diploma, Luke became a Chartered Fellow of the Institute in 2010 and in 2012 was one of the first Chartered Wealth Mangers in the UK.

In his spare time he enjoys playing golf, however his young family help ensure his handicap remains high!

Bruce H. Nicholson
Capital Partner

Followed an academic career in biochemistry at the Universities of Liverpool (B.Sc.), Manchester (Ph.D.), Pittsburgh, Oxford, and Reading, with short spells at Atomic Power Development Associates(Detroit) and CIBA (Basel), retiring in 1993. Also runs his own small scientific manufacturing and export business (35 years) and is familiar with Patent application, Company formation, due diligence and the Stock Market. Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chemistry.

Joined Lloyds in late 1986 and is currently underwriting £3 million through his own company Nameco300. Founding member of the Lloyds High Premium Group committee. He is Honorary Treasurer of that institution and has served on other Lloyds related committees.

Richard Peskin
Capital Partner

After 42 years with the Company, Richard Peskin retired in March 2009 as Chairman of Great Portland Estates, a well known publicly quoted REIT, currently capitalised at just under £900 million. He is the Chairman and Capital Partner of Internos Real Investors LLP, which recently bought GPT Halverton, which has €1.7 billion under management in Germany and Holland. He is also on the Advisory Board of The Alpha Rockmount UK Fund, a consultant to Farrer & Co and a Consultant to Glacial Properties. He was previously on the London Board of Royal and Sun Alliance and a member of the Estates Committee of the MCC.

Pam Goodare
Partnership Manager

Pam commenced her career in local government before taking a break to have her family. During the early 1990s she set up her own business which she ran part-time. Between 1994 and 2000 Pam was employed in the NHS as PA to the Director of HR. She joined Raphael Tutton and Saunders as PA to Christopher Saunders in 2000, leaving in 2009 to help set up S & T Asset Management.

When time allows, Pam enjoys swimming, visits to the theatre and spending time with her family.
